I passed the exam!

In the professional organizing industry, the credential CPO means Certified Professional Organizer. There are only 7 CPO’s in the state of Missouri, and only a few hundred nationwide. In order to become a CPO you must have at least 1500 hours of experience working with clients, 250 of those hours can be earned through continuing education credits. You must also pass a 2 hour exam which includes questions on project management, basic organizing principles, legal and ethical considerations and more. I returned last week from the Annual NAPO (National Association Professional Organizers) Conference in Orlando, Florida. It was an amazing experience in every aspect, from the weather to the education we received. I sat for, and passed, the Level II Chronic Disorganization Specialist Certificate exam through NSGCD (National Study Group Chronic Disorganization). Of the approximately 4,400 professional organizers across the world, only 145 or so of them have this level of education. So I am very proud to say I’ve earned this distinction.
