I must confess that I do so many little things to save myself time and aggravation that others may think are silly but I know they simplify my life. Why don’t you try a few and give me your feedback.
- Removing tops: Rather than wasting time opening and closing a package to get to what I need, I remove the tops of things when I purchase them, such as egg cartons, pop tart boxes and dog treat boxes.
- Remove excess packaging: Rather than fumbling with things that have excess packaging when I’m in a rush, I take the time to remove the packaging from multi packs of pudding, the outer wrapper from the package of cheese slices and the individual juice pouches from the box when I purchase them.
- Preparing fruits: The last thing I want to do when I’m ready for a healthy snack is take the time and energy to cut up fruit. Instead I cut up any cantelope, watermelon or grapefruit when I return from grocery shopping and I store it in individual size containers so it’s easy to grab on the go.
- Opening mail: When I carry my mail in each day, I immediately pitch junk mail, envelopes and any extra sales information stuck in with my bills. This way, I don’t feel overwhelmed because I have a huge pile of mail to deal with.
