Today I go face to face with one of my biggest fears – public speaking. I’ve blogged about it here before. My focus this last year has been to work really hard to overcome this fear. I will be speaking with some other fantastic women today at Webster University on Breakthroughs to Success.
I will be talking about how clutter and disorganization stops you from being all that you were created to be. We’ll discuss the various feelings associated with keeping things and why it’s hard to tackle your clutter mountains. Then I’ll be sharing some practical tips and information to get you started in the right direction.
It’s so funny to me how similar my journey towards public speaking is to my client’s journey towards getting organized. Before beginning to prepare what I would be talking about today, I felt overwhelmed. It looked so big that I didn’t know where to even begin. I hear this so often from clients about their clutter and disorganization. We work with you and guide you in the process by breaking it down into manageable pieces for you. I also didn’t like all of the feelings that I had to face to overcome this fear of public speaking. My clients don’t like all of the feelings that come up when they sort through their belongings or tasks.
Here’s the great thing. Almost every client we’ve worked with has gratefully expressed how easy it was once they took the leap and started. I’m going into today knowing that I will be saying the same thing about public speaking now that I’ve jumped in and tackled it. Are you ready to tackle the obstacles that are holding you back?
