This first step will help, both the client and myself,
determine if we are a good fit, both style and work wise. We spend
this time getting to know each other a little better, we talk about
what things are working well for you, what things you hope to
improve and what your vision is for each space. If agreeable, from
here we can schedule our first hands on session.
HANDS-ON ORGANIZING
& DECLUTTERING:
Organizing is a collaborative process that happens over
time. The first thing I do during our sessions together is an
evaluation to find out what the space is primarily used for and how
we can tailor it to function best for you. Then I will guide you and
help you stay focused as we work side by side, hands-on, sorting
through your belongings and deciding what to keep and what to let go
of. Next we assign a home for your remaining belongings. We create
new customized systems for your life (and
stuff). We wrap up with a quick overview of what we did during our
session, go over any homework you may have (homework is not required
but helps you cut costs), collect payment and schedule our next
session. During our sessions together, you will learn organizing
tools you need to form life changing habits. This will ensure that
you remain organized, simplified and decluttered for years to
come.
MAINTENANCE:
Once the systems are put in place, it is
crucial that you set time aside to
maintain them. Allow 15-30 minutes at the end of each day to return
things to their assigned homes. I can return as often as you'd like
to help you keep things organized.
