Help for the homeless

Nikki Mitchell-Greenlee, with Rose Hill House, is collecting items for the homeless in St Louis until November 13, 2009. The area shelters only have enough room to shelter 40% of the homeless population. So that leaves 60% of that population, including men, women and children, out there to survive during the long bitter cold winter.

  • you have any old coats, gloves, hats, blankets, thermal socks, clothes, or anything that could help a homeless person transition back into society, that you would like to donate
  • you would like to volunteer to put winter boxes together
  • you have an SUV or truck that you would be willing to use to distribute boxes
